Reset Privacy Policy

Reset Technologies, LLC

Effective July 10, 2026

Reset Technologies, LLC (“Reset,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a wellness application that helps users understand their patterns and receive personalized meal and lifestyle guidance through onboarding questions, scan-derived body signals, AI-generated recommendations, and user feedback.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Reset mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Services”).

Reset is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you may not use Reset.

IMPORTANT HEALTH AND PRIVACY NOTICE

Reset is a consumer wellness app. Reset is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, monitor, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Some information you provide to Reset, and some information generated by Reset, may relate to your wellness, eating patterns, body signals, meal preferences, weight-loss goals, energy, stress, recovery, or other health-adjacent topics. We treat this information carefully.

Reset does not sell your personal information. Reset does not use your health, scan, meal, check-in, chat, or body-signal data to target advertising to you.

1

Information We Collect

In short: we collect the information you give us (account details, onboarding answers, meal preferences, chats with Ester), numerical estimates produced by the optional face scan, and standard technical and subscription data. We never receive or store images or video of your face.

1.1 Account Information

When you create or use a Reset account, we may collect: name; email address; phone number, if provided; login credentials or authentication information; account settings; customer support messages; and device and app account identifiers.

1.2 Onboarding and Profile Information

To personalize your experience, we may ask you for information such as:

  • Age or date of birth confirmation

  • Height and weight

  • Biological sex, if relevant to personalization

  • Weight-loss goals

  • Dietary preferences, food restrictions, or allergies

  • Lifestyle patterns — sleep, energy, hunger, stress, and craving patterns

  • GLP-1 use or related appetite context, if you choose to provide it

  • Other answers you provide during onboarding, check-ins, or profile setup

1.3 Face Scan Data (“Face Data”) and Scan-Derived Estimates

Reset offers an optional wellness scan that uses your device’s front-facing camera. The scan is powered by the Shen.AI software development kit (“SDK”) and uses photoplethysmography (PPG) — a camera-based measurement technique that detects subtle changes in the color of the skin on your face caused by blood flow — to estimate certain body signals.

What face data we collect. During a scan, the Shen.AI SDK temporarily processes images of your face on your device, in real time, solely to compute scan-derived estimates. Facial images, raw scan video, facial geometry, and facial mapping data are processed on-device only: they are never transmitted to, received by, or stored on Reset’s servers or Shen.AI’s servers, and they are discarded from device memory when the scan completes. The scan does not perform facial recognition, does not create a facial recognition template, and cannot be used to identify you.

What Reset receives. Reset receives only numerical scan-derived estimates and related output fields from the SDK. Depending on the version of the app and enabled features, these may include a heart rate estimate, heart rate variability estimate, breathing rate estimate, stress-related estimate, recovery-related estimate, or wellness score. Scan-derived estimates do not include images of your face and cannot be used to reconstruct an image of your face.

How face data and scan-derived estimates are used. Face data is used on your device solely to generate scan-derived estimates. Reset uses scan-derived estimates to personalize wellness guidance, support the Reset Score, improve meal recommendations, and help you understand how your body may be showing up on a given day.

Whether face data is shared with third parties. Face data is never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party. Scan-derived estimates are shared only with service providers as needed to operate Reset, as described in Section 3.

How long face data is retained. Face data is not retained. It is processed transiently on your device during the scan and is discarded when processing completes. Scan-derived estimates are retained while your account is active and are deleted or de-identified within approximately 30 days after you delete your account, as described in Section 5.

Scan outputs are estimates. They are not medical measurements, diagnoses, or clinical assessments.

1.4 Meal, Food, and Preference Information

We may collect information about meal recommendations shown to you; meals you view, save, reject, or select; food preferences; meal feedback; shopping or grocery preferences, if supported; family meal preferences, if provided; and food restrictions, allergies, or avoided foods.

Reset’s allergy and dietary filtering is best-effort. Users with severe allergies should independently verify all ingredients before consuming any meal.

1.5 AI Chat, Voice, and Ester Interactions

Reset includes an AI companion named Ester. When you interact with Ester, we may collect: text messages you send; AI-generated responses; voice inputs, if voice features are enabled; transcripts of voice interactions, if applicable; context used to personalize Ester’s responses; feedback on AI outputs; and safety flags or support escalations, if applicable.

Ester is an AI system, not a human, doctor, dietitian, therapist, or licensed professional. No human reviews every Ester output before it is delivered.

1.6 App Usage and Device Information

We may collect technical and usage information such as device type and operating system; app version; language and region settings; IP address; time zone; general location inferred from IP address; app screens viewed; buttons tapped; session duration; crash logs; performance data; diagnostic data; and attribution data related to how you found Reset.

1.7 Subscription and Payment Information

If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe, RevenueCat, or another payment provider depending on the platform. Reset does not receive your full payment card number from Apple or Google.

We may receive subscription-related information such as subscription status, product purchased, renewal status, trial status (if any), cancellation status, transaction identifiers, receipt validation information, and refund status.

1.8 Communications Information

If you communicate with us, sign up for updates, or receive notifications, we may collect your email address, message content, support request history, push notification tokens, communication preferences, and delivery and engagement information for transactional or marketing messages.

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link. You can control push notifications through your device settings.

How We Use Information

In short: we use your information to run the app, personalize your experience, power AI features, keep Reset secure, and communicate with you. We never use your health, scan, meal, check-in, chat, or body-signal data to target ads.

We use information to provide, operate, improve, and protect Reset.

2.1 To Provide the App Experience

We use information to create and manage your account; complete onboarding; generate your starting type or pattern; provide scan-derived body-signal estimates; generate Reset Scores or related wellness outputs; recommend meals; personalize meal timing and guidance; power Ester conversations; save preferences and history; provide customer support; and process subscriptions and account status.

2.2 To Personalize Recommendations

We use your answers, scan-derived estimates, meal feedback, app usage, and other information you provide to personalize the experience. This may include adjusting meals, explanations, check-ins, and AI-generated guidance.

Reset may classify users into proprietary wellness patterns or types. These types are not medical diagnoses and do not correspond to clinical categories.

2.3 To Operate AI Features

We use information you provide to Ester, along with relevant app context, to generate AI responses and meal guidance. We use third-party AI service providers to help power Ester and other AI features. Those providers may process user inputs, relevant app context, and generated outputs solely to provide services to Reset, subject to our agreements with them and this Privacy Policy.

Reset does not use identifiable user health, scan, meal, check-in, or chat data to train third-party AI models for the provider’s own purposes, and our agreements with AI service providers prohibit them from using your data to train their models.

2.4 To Improve and Secure Reset

We use information to debug app issues, monitor app performance, improve product flows, understand feature usage, prevent fraud or abuse, protect account security, test and improve recommendation quality, and maintain app reliability. Some limited technical, diagnostic, or usage data may be processed by our service providers to operate, secure, debug, and improve the app.

2.5 For Analytics and Attribution

We use analytics and attribution tools to understand how users find and use Reset, measure ad performance, improve onboarding, and evaluate product performance.

We do not use health, scan, meal, check-in, chat, or body-signal data to target ads to you.

2.6 To Communicate With You

We may use your information to send account messages, security notices, subscription or billing notices, product updates, customer support responses, app reminders or push notifications, and marketing messages where permitted.

3

How We Share Information

In short: we share information only with the vendors that help us run Reset, when the law requires it, or in a business transaction. Face data never leaves your device. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

We share information only as needed to operate Reset, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete business transactions.

3.1 Service Providers

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate Reset, including providers for scan technology, cloud hosting and storage, AI infrastructure, authentication, analytics, attribution, push notifications, email and lifecycle messaging, subscription management, payment processing, customer support, security and fraud prevention, and app performance monitoring.

These providers are authorized to process information only as needed to provide services to Reset, subject to contractual obligations where applicable.

3.2 Shen.AI (Scan Technology)

Reset uses Shen.AI technology for the scan experience. The Shen.AI SDK processes face data on your device and generates scan-derived estimates there. Neither Reset nor Shen.AI receives or stores facial images, raw scan video, facial geometry, or facial recognition data. Reset receives only scan-derived estimates and related output fields from the SDK.

Shen.AI may process limited technical, diagnostic, licensing, or SDK-related information — which does not include face data — as needed to provide, secure, support, or debug the SDK.

3.3 AI Service Providers

Ester and other AI features rely on third-party AI service providers. When you use these features, your inputs (such as chat messages or voice transcripts), relevant app context (such as your preferences, goals, or scan-derived estimates), and generated outputs may be processed by those providers to produce AI responses and operate Reset’s AI features.

These providers process your data solely to provide services to Reset. They are contractually prohibited from using your identifiable data to train their own models or for any purpose other than providing services to Reset. Face data is never shared with AI service providers.

3.4 Payment and Subscription Providers

Payments and subscriptions may be processed by Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat, or other payment providers. Your use of those payment services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

3.5 Legal, Safety, and Compliance

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process; protect the rights, safety, or property of Reset, users, or others; investigate fraud, security issues, or misuse; enforce our Terms of Service; or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

3.6 Business Transfers

If Reset is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or any successor policy provided to users.
